Minot, ME - Dustin Wimmer sealed the Pro and Pro-Am ATV Championship at Hemonds Motocross Park during the season finale of the NEATV-MX series. A more perfect weekend couldnt have been asked for, with clear blue skies and temperatures reaching the high 70s. On Saturday, practice went smoothly and people began decorating and setting up their campers for the annual Trick or Treating event and Halloween costume contest.
NEATV-MX also held barrel racing for quads, 4x4s, and Pitbikes Saturday evening before the kids motos and pitbike races. The turnout of riders and spectators was incredible for the final event that far north in Maine. The Pro and Pro-Am classes held a few more riders then we have seen in recent events.
In the first Pro moto, Suzuki LTR 450 mounted Dustin Wimmer charged off the line with points leader, Josh Creamer just inches behind him. Wimmer battled to hold off Creamer throughout the first lap, but Creamer, faced with a mechanical issue dropped out prior to completing his first lap. This put Wimmer just ahead of Creamer for the points championship going into moto 2. Wimmer came out the leader and took both the Pro and Pro-Am Championships for 2011!!
Congratulations Dustin!!
